Here s another interesting item that I found in the shed!! This little bakelite radio needs some cleaning and attention! As you can see from the photo there is a small knob missing from the clock section. There is also a small crack in the plastic/front of the radio tuning section which cannot be seen in the photo, the line is the tuning line, the crack is right near the bottom and is difficult to see therefore difficult to photograph! On the bottom it says Philips Model 145 as well as a warning about running on 200 - 250V AC. There are no cracks or chips in the cream bakelite case. I do not know if this radio is working and I would recommend any vintage electrical appliance be checked by a professional before use for safety reasons. It also has a knob on the back that says time set , I think if this was restored it would be a lovely and valuable piece. The size of the radio is approximately 17cm high x 26cm long x 15 wide (to the knobs). The radio is pretty heavy for its size and I would think that by the time it was properly packaged it would cost in excess of $20 for postage. I would also recommend insurance for this type of item and that would be extra. If you think the freight charges are too high, please do not bid. Once the item has been sold I will package it up and get the freight cost for the purchaser! Of course, if you are from Adelaide I may be able to deliver or you can collect-we ll discuss!
